Current Initiatives

The Broome County Land Bank has several initiatives ranging from affordable housing opportunities to demolition projects and vacant lots. We invite you to explore and learn more about each of our programs. We also encourage you to apply for the programs you may qualify for.

Affordable Homes Program

Allows for the purchase of newly renovated homes available to low-to-moderate (LMI) income individuals and families.

County-Wide Demolition Program

Helps address and remove severely blighted properties across Broome County.

Side Lot Program

Allows for the purchase of vacant lots and greenspace from the Land Bank after demolition projects have taken place.

Small Business Tipping Fee Waiver Program

Assists small businesses in Broome County with landfill tipping fee expenses associated with private demolition projects.
