Since the BCLBC’s inception in 2013, the BCLBC has completed dozens of demolition projects county-wide. Utilizing a variety of grant funding sources, the BCLBC’s successful demolition program has always had a county-wide focus and has inflicted a positive impact on the greater community by removing unsafe and nuisance properties; thereby preventing the devaluation of neighborhoods and actively restoring stability. Further, in recent years, the BCLBC has had unprecedented success with leveraging local municipal grants to not only offset the expenses associated with demolition projects but also to build legitimacy with local stakeholders and ensure the long-term viability of our demolition program.
